Weddin Shire Council

The council for Grenfell — the Central West town where Henry Lawson was born — and the villages of Caragabal, Greenethorpe, Quandialla and Bimbi, between Cowra, Forbes and Young. About 3,600 people across 3,414 square kilometres, on an economy led by dry-land agriculture, with the Weddin Mountains National Park at its centre. The council runs the local services you use every week — waste, roads, Grenfell's sewer, parks, development — and sets your rates. Here's the snapshot, then the stuff that affects your week.
