Weddin Shire Council
Report a problem

Report a problem to the council

Weddin Shire does not run a general-purpose online reporting form, so for most things the fastest route is the phone or an email to the office at 73 Camp Street, Grenfell. Below is where to take each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.

How to report it

Report to the council (official)
(02) 6343 1212 or mail@weddin.nsw.gov.au, 8.30am-4pm Mon-FriCouncil publishes downloadable PDF forms rather than an online request portal; roads, drainage, animals and general requests are handled by phone, email or in person at 73 Camp Street, Grenfell. Council's Strategic Asset Management Strategy says a customer request management system is planned.
Urgent / after hours
0490 034 981 — emergencies onlyCouncil states this number is for emergencies only: situations that do or will directly affect public health and safety or council infrastructure and need immediate action, such as flooding, fallen trees, or a dangerous dog roaming or attacking.
Waste, bins and environmental issues
Environmental Services, (02) 6343 1717Council's waste, recycling, food safety and biosecurity enquiries line. A bin damaged by the council truck, or stolen and reported to police, is replaced using the Damaged/Stolen Garbage Bin form on the Forms page.
Complaints about council services or decisions
Council's Complaint Form (PDF)A separate written process covering the performance or decisions of the council or its staff, and the performance of council services. Return it by post, email or in person.
One app for any council
Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights -> Essential EnergyEssential Energy is the electricity distributor across regional NSW including the Central West, and maintains and repairs the street-light network.

For urgent safety hazards, call rather than emailing. The after-hours number is for emergencies only — routine requests should wait for business hours. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
