Warren Shire Council

An Orana council on the Macquarie River, an hour north-west of Dubbo — about 2,600 people spread across 10,754 km² in Warren, Nevertire and Collie, on an economy of irrigated cotton, wool, sheep, cattle and grain. Council runs the Warren and Macquarie Marshes Visitor Information Centre at the Window on the Wetlands Centre, and is rolling out the Shire's first kerbside recycling bins from October 2026. It runs the local services you use every week — the weekly red bin, town water and sewerage, roads, parks, the pool and the library — and sets your rates. Here's the snapshot, then the stuff that affects your week.
