Report a problem to the council
Since May 2026 the quickest way to get something fixed in Warren Shire has been Council's online Request for Service form — reachable from the website, or by scanning the QR codes Council has put up in parks, public toilets and other facilities across the Shire. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.
How to report it
- Report to the council (official)
- Online Request for Service formCovers potholes and road damage, dumped rubbish, barking dogs and roaming animals, water leaks and drainage, damaged public facilities, parks and playground maintenance, and waste or bin collection issues. Include the location and photos where you can. Launched May 2026, with QR codes on Council facilities across the Shire.Lodge a request →
- Urgent or after hours
- (02) 6847 6600The online form is not monitored outside Council business hours. For anything urgent, call — after hours the number diverts to an on-call Council staff member (allow time for the divert to connect).
- One app for any council
- Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
- Not always the council's job
- Faulty street lights and power faults → Essential EnergyCouncil's own Current Outages page directs residents to Essential Energy for power faults; Essential Energy is the electricity distributor for Warren Shire and maintains the street-light network. Telstra and Optus handle their own network outages.
- If a complaint is not resolved
- NSW OmbudsmanCouncil points residents to the NSW Ombudsman where a complaint about Council has not been resolved. This is an independent body, not part of the council.
For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
