Council adopts $205 million Operational Plan and Capital Works Budget for 2026–27
The council adopted its 2026–27 Operational Plan and a $205 million Capital Works Budget, funding a major Five Dock Park upgrade, works at St Lukes Oval and Queen Elizabeth Park, and over $13.9M for roads and footpaths.

Restoration of the historic Chapman Memorial Gates, Concord
The council is restoring and repainting the 1918 Chapman Memorial Gates at the Pavilion of Honour, Queen Elizabeth Park, Concord, supported by an Australian Government Saluting Their Service grant; works are due to finish by the end of August 2026.
What this means for you: Expect works and possible access changes around the Pavilion of Honour entrance at Queen Elizabeth Park through to end of August 2026.

Community asked to help shape a masterplan for four Chiswick foreshore parks
The council exhibited a draft 10-year masterplan for Campbell, Allison, Russell and Lysaght Parks in Chiswick, seeking feedback on sports facilities, footpaths and play spaces (submissions closed 1 March 2026).
What this means for you: If you live near these foreshore parks, this masterplan will guide future upgrades such as new pathways, tree planting and sports-field improvements.
