Report a problem to the council
The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole, dumped rubbish, graffiti, a missed bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.
- Report to the council (general issues)
- Online 'Report an issue' form, or call (02) 9911 6555Customer Service answers the phone line anytime; the online form covers most local issues.
- Graffiti
- Online form at ausgr.com.au/canadabay, or call (02) 9911 6555
- Illegal dumping
- Call (02) 9911 6555 or email council@canadabay.nsw.gov.au
- Bin problems / missed collection
- Waste Hotline: 1300 551 659 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm), or the 'Waste Info' app
- One app for any council
- Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
- Not always the council's job
- Faulty street lights → AusgridThe council maintains the pole; the energy provider fixes the light itself. Potholes on state/classified roads → Transport for NSW.
For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
