Mayor & councillors

Wyndham has 11 councillors. Each one represents a single ward: Bemin, Brinbeal, Cheetham, Featherbrook, Grange, Heathdale, Iramoo, Quandong, Werribee Park, Williams Landing or Wimba. They were elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term, except Heathdale Ward, which was filled at a by-election on 1 August 2026. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves. The next vote for Mayor and Deputy Mayor is at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 11 November 2026.

Your representatives

Want to raise something? Contacting your ward councillor or the mayor is one of the most direct ways to be heard between elections.

Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. We list who holds office, with their council email addresses and official profiles, and link to the election results. The VEC's council page still showed Heathdale Ward as 'position vacant' when we checked (Sep 2026); its by-election results page and the council's own list both show Kim McAliney. If a seat falls vacant, Wyndham's single-councillor wards fill it by a by-election, not a countback, as long as more than 6 months of the term remain.
