Mayor & councillors

Narromine Shire is an undivided (at-large) council: its nine councillors are elected across the whole local government area by proportional representation, rather than by ward. The councillors elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor from among themselves (Narromine does not have a popularly elected mayor); the Mayoral term is two years. Cr Ewen Jones was elected Mayor at the new council's first meeting on 9 October 2024, and Cr Stacey Bohm was elected Deputy Mayor at the same meeting.
