Hume has 11 councillors. Each one represents a single ward: Aitken, Bababi Marning, Burt-kur-min, Emu Creek, Jacksons Hill, Merlynston Creek, Mount Ridley, Roxburgh Park, Tullamarine, Woodlands or Yubup. They were elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves at the council's Statutory Meeting. The next Statutory Meeting is on Wednesday 4 November 2026.
