Mayor & councillors
Greater Dandenong has 11 councillors, one for each ward: Cleeland, Dandenong, Dandenong North, Keysborough, Keysborough South, Noble Park, Noble Park North, Springvale Central, Springvale North, Springvale South and Yarraman. They were elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the council says the councillors elect a Mayor each year. The next vote is at a special council meeting on Thursday 12 November 2026.

If a seat falls vacant, Greater Dandenong's single-councillor wards fill it by a by-election, not a countback, as long as more than 6 months of the term remain.
