Waste & recycling

When your bins go out, and how Canterbury-Bankstown handles recycling and bulky waste. The city runs a three-bin kerbside service: a red-lid general-waste bin collected weekly, plus a yellow-lid recycling bin and a green-lid garden-organics bin that are collected fortnightly on an alternating cycle (one of the two goes out each week alongside the weekly red bin). The green bin is for garden cuttings only — there is no food-organics (FOGO) service yet. To find your collection day and your yellow/green cycle, use the council's Bin Day Finder.
