Mayor & councillors
Yass Valley Council has nine councillors elected across the whole local government area — it is an undivided council with no wards. The councillors choose the Mayor and Deputy Mayor from among themselves. After the September 2024 election the council elected its first all-female leadership team, with Jasmin Jones as Mayor and Kristin Butler as Deputy Mayor (special meeting, 10 October 2024). Below is who currently holds office, with links to their official profiles and the September 2024 election results.

We list who's in office and link to their official profiles and the election results; we don't characterise anyone's politics. In this undivided rural election most candidates stood as independents; party labels shown are those recorded by the NSW Electoral Commission at the September 2024 election (Adrian Cameron was elected for The Greens; the others were elected as independents). A council's makeup can change between elections, so the council's official page has the most current list.
