The authoritative source for crime in NSW is the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR), which publishes recorded incidents reported to or detected by NSW Police. For most local government areas BOCSAR also publishes a rate per 100,000 people so the LGA can be compared with the NSW average. For Walcha it does not: in the current release every one of the 12 major offences is marked "nc" — not calculable — because the counts are too small for a rate per 100,000 to be reliable. That is BOCSAR's own decision, not a gap in our data. So this page publishes what BOCSAR does publish for Walcha: the incident counts for the 12 months from April 2025 to March 2026, largest first.
