Report a problem to the council
The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole, dumped rubbish, a missed bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.
- Report to the council (official)
- Customer service: (02) 6926 9100Or use the council's 'Request it. Report it.' online service requests, which log a reference for tracking. After-hours emergencies: 1300 292 442 (24-hour call centre).
- Bin problems
- (02) 6926 9100Missed bins and other waste-service issues; routed through the same service-request system.
- One app for any council
- Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
- Not always the council's job
- Faulty street lights → Essential EnergyIn the Riverina the street-lighting network is owned and maintained by Essential Energy; report faulty street lights to them.
For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
