Report a problem

Report a problem to the council

The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole on one of the shire's 900-plus kilometres of road, a burst water main in Uralla or Bundarra, a bin that wasn't emptied — is to lodge it through the council's own channel. Below is where each type of issue goes, including the after-hours numbers the council publishes for urgent problems, plus an independent app that works for any council.

How to report it

Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights → Essential Energy 132 080Council's own Emergency Contacts page directs power outages, faulty streetlights and vegetation hazards to Essential Energy, the electricity distributor for the New England region.

For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
