Mayor & councillors
Strathfield Municipal Council has 7 councillors, elected across the whole LGA (it is undivided — there are no wards). The Mayor is chosen by the councillors (not directly by voters) and the position is decided each year. Benjamin Cai holds the mayoralty for the 2025–26 year (John-Paul Baladi held it for 2024–25). Below is who currently holds office, with links to their official profiles and the September 2024 election results.

We list who's in office and link to their official profiles and the election results; we don't characterise anyone's politics. Party labels are those each councillor was elected under at the September 2024 election (NSW Electoral Commission); 'Strathfield Independents' was the registered group Cr Blackmore was elected under. A council's makeup and the mayoralty can change between elections (the mayor here is chosen annually by councillors), so the council's official page has the most current list.
