Waste & recycling
When your bins go out, and how Randwick handles recycling and bulky waste. Houses get a red-lid general-waste bin collected fortnightly and a yellow-lid recycling bin collected fortnightly, while apartment blocks are typically on a weekly general-waste collection. Randwick was an early NSW adopter of a combined food-and-garden organics (FOGO) service — the lime-green lid bin, collected weekly, takes both food scraps and garden organics together (introduced March 2021). To find your collection day, enter your address in the council's rubbish collection calendar.
