Council resolved in July 2026 to move towards a 15-month trial of a four-day compressed work week from 1 January 2027, under which offices, depots and libraries would generally close on Fridays with extended hours Monday to Thursday. Check the council's website closer to the date — the opening hours above are the current ones.
