Mayor & councillors
Mount Alexander has 8 wards, each electing one councillor. The current council was elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves, for a one-year term.

Want to raise something? Contacting your ward councillor or the mayor is one of the most direct ways to be heard between elections.
Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. We list who holds office, with the ward email address the council publishes for each councillor, and link to the election results. The VEC lists two councillors under their full names, Anthony Glenn Cordy and Matt Driscoll. The council's Meet your Councillors page and the VEC ward map show which ward your address is in. With one councillor per ward, a vacancy is filled by a by-election run by the VEC. For the latest list, see the council's page or the VEC.
