Suburbs & postcodes

On the map

The shaded area is the official Local Government Area boundary.

The council doesn't publish a single list of its localities, so this list comes from the official Vicmap locality boundaries, checked against the council boundary. A locality is listed when at least 5% of its area is inside the council, and marked '(part)' when less than 95% is. Shares inside Moorabool: Durham Lead about 16%, Glen Park 20%, Buninyong 21%, Mollongghip 38%, Warrenheip 45%, Grenville 52%, Balliang 55%, Scotsburn 57%, Wattle Flat 58%, Parwan 66%, Bullarto South 74%, Korweinguboora 88%, Bullarook 94%, Morrisons 94%. Trentham (about 10% inside) has no row in the CSA's postcode table for Moorabool, so we don't list it with a postcode. Postcodes come from the CSA's suburb and postcode table for Moorabool (all years of the table). The shaded area on the map is the council boundary from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ASGS 2025) — the same boundary the ABS area and population figures are measured on.
