Mayor & councillors

Moorabool has no wards: all nine councillors are elected by voters across the whole shire. They were elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves at a Statutory Meeting each November.

Your representatives

Want to raise something? Contacting your ward councillor or the mayor is one of the most direct ways to be heard between elections.

Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. Names are as the council writes them; the VEC lists Steven Venditti Taylor, Jarrod James Bingham and Rodney Ward. Each councillor's official profile has their contact details. Because there are no wards, a vacancy is filled by a VEC countback of the 2024 votes, not a by-election. The council also runs 'Coffee with a Councillor' sessions, listed on its councillors page.
