Report a problem to the council

The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole, dumped rubbish, a missed bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel, where you get a request number to follow up. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.

Report to the council (official)
Report and request hub — customer service (02) 7955 7777Categories include roads/footpaths/bridges, waste & bin services, illegal dumping, parks & playgrounds, and more; each submission gets a request number to track.
Water supply faults
1300 133 455Separate line for water and sewer faults.
Illegal dumping
Report via the council's Report and request hubIllegal dumping can attract heavy fines.
One app for any council
Snap Send SolveAn independent app that uses your location to route the report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights → Essential EnergyEssential Energy runs the electricity network across most of regional NSW, including the MidCoast; report street-light faults directly to them, not the council.

For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
