Area profile
A quick snapshot of the Kyogle local government area, drawn from official ABS estimates and the NSW Government's council data. Kyogle sits in the Northern Rivers, inland from Lismore and against the Queensland border, and is one of the larger and least densely populated LGAs on the NSW north coast — around 9,600 people spread over 3,584 km² of farmland, forest and World Heritage rainforest, in one town and a string of villages linked by the Summerland Way, the Bruxner Highway and the Clarence Way.
