Report a problem to the council
The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole, dumped rubbish, a missed or damaged bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.
- Report to the council (official)
- Customer service: (02) 4232 0444General enquiries and to report local issues like roads, parks and dumping; or use Council's online contact form.
- Bin problems & repairs
- Waste Services: (02) 4237 5148Report a missed collection or a lost, damaged or stolen bin online, or call during business hours.
- Illegal dumping
- Report to the council or NSW EPA (RIDonline)Leaving bulky items on the kerb without a booked cleanup is not permitted.
- One app for any council
- Snap Send SolveAn independent app that uses your location to route the report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
- Not always the council's job
- Faulty street lights → Endeavour EnergyThe council maintains the pole; the energy provider fixes the light itself.
For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority. Some assets aren't the council's responsibility — for example, faulty street lights are fixed by Endeavour Energy.
