Where to report a problem. The council takes service requests through an online form and by phone on 03 5382 9777, which is also its after-hours emergency number. Highways and main roads in the area are managed by the state, not the council.

Animals and local laws (after hours)
03 5382 9777 — emergencies onlyRangers work 8.30am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside those hours the number goes to the council's after-hours call centre, and rangers respond only to emergencies such as stock on roads, a dog attack in progress, or an animal in immediate need.
