Mayor & councillors
Hepburn Shire has no wards: all seven councillors are elected by voters across the whole shire, and each represents the whole shire. The current council was elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: every year the councillors choose a Mayor and Deputy Mayor from among themselves, for 12 months.

Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. We list who holds office, with the council email address the council publishes for each councillor, and link to the election results. The council's page also lists the committees and community bodies each councillor sits on. Because all seven councillors are elected shire-wide by proportional representation, a vacancy is normally filled by a countback of the 2024 votes, run by the VEC.
