Gwydir Shire Council
Report a problem

Report a problem to the council

The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole on a shire road, a water leak, a missed bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel. Gwydir runs a single online 'Report a problem' form for the whole shire, and publishes a set of after-hours emergency numbers that are split by town, because Bingara and Warialda have separate on-call crews. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.

How to report it

Report to the council (official)
"Report a problem" online form, or (02) 6724 2000The form is linked from the council's home page under Top Tasks. Office hours are 9:00am–12:30pm and 1:30pm–4:00pm each weekday at both Bingara and Warialda.Open the report form

One app for any council
Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights → Essential EnergyEssential Energy is the electricity distributor across regional NSW including the North West Slopes; it maintains and repairs the street-light network. Road closures on state highways are on Live Traffic NSW, which the council links from its home page.

For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form — and use the after-hours number for your town, since Bingara and Warialda are rostered separately. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
