Waste & recycling
When your bins go out, and how Gunnedah Shire handles recycling and waste. Kerbside collection runs within the town boundaries of Gunnedah, Carroll and Curlewis; Curlewis, Carroll and other rural residential areas receive a reduced two-bin service (no green-lid bin). The green-lid bin currently collects garden organics only — it is not yet a combined food-and-garden-organics (FOGO) service, which NSW requires all councils to offer by 2030. To find your specific collection day, use the council's online schedule tool or the Recycle Coach app.
