Mayor & councillors
Greater Hume is divided into three wards — North, West and East — each electing three councillors, for nine councillors in total. The councillors elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor from among themselves (Greater Hume does not have a popularly elected mayor). We list who's in office and link to their official profiles and the election results; we don't characterise anyone's politics. Every Greater Hume councillor was elected as an independent at the September 2024 election (NSW Electoral Commission) — no party or registered group affiliations were recorded. A council's makeup can change between elections through casual vacancies, so the council's official page has the most current list.
