City profile
Greater Bendigo is the council for the city of Bendigo and the towns and farmland around it, in central Victoria. It takes in Bendigo's suburbs, such as Eaglehawk, Kangaroo Flat, Golden Square, Strathfieldsaye and Maiden Gully, and towns including Heathcote, Elmore, Marong, Axedale, Goornong and Huntly. The Campaspe River runs through the east of the municipality.

Several localities on the edges are shared with neighbouring councils and are marked '(part)': Harcourt North, Lockwood South, Myrtle Creek, Ravenswood and Redesdale with Mount Alexander; Kamarooka, Leichardt, Marong, Raywood, Sebastian and Shelbourne with Loddon; Redcastle and Toolleen with Campaspe; and Mia Mia with Mitchell. The council also lists seven small rural localities that have no row in the CSA table — Costerfield, Drummartin, Fosterville, Hunter, Lake Eppalock, Lyal and Wilsons Hill — so we don't list a postcode for them.
