Council itself runs the Glen Innes Saleyards, the Glen Innes Aggregates quarry and the Glen Innes Airport. The LGA also sits within the NSW Government's New England Renewable Energy Zone and hosts wind generation, including part of the White Rock Wind Farm (shared with Inverell Shire).
