Waste & recycling
When your bins go out, and how Eurobodalla Shire Council handles recycling and bulky waste. The council runs a three-bin kerbside service: a red-lid general-waste bin collected weekly, a yellow-lid recycling bin collected fortnightly, and a lime-green-lid garden-organics bin collected fortnightly (on the alternate week to recycling). The green bin is garden organics only — Eurobodalla doesn't yet run a combined food-and-garden (FOGO) service; the council has said full FOGO will be in place by the NSW-wide 2030 deadline. Residents also get one free annual kerbside 'junk' (hard-waste) collection, and can drop off problem waste for free at the Surf Beach Community Recycling Centre. To find your collection day, use the council's bin collection and waste guide.
