Mayor & councillors
Darebin has 9 councillors, one for each ward: Central, North Central, North East, North West, South Central, South East, South, South West and West. Eight were elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term; the North West Ward councillor was elected at a by-election in August 2025. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves.

Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. We list who holds office, with their council email addresses, and link to the council's councillor page and the election results. If a seat falls vacant, Darebin's single-councillor wards fill it by a by-election, not a countback, as long as more than 6 months of the term remain.
