Cumberland City Council has 15 councillors — three for each of five wards. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are chosen by the councillors (not directly elected by voters); the Mayor serves a two-year term, and the Deputy Mayor role is re-elected each year. Below is who currently holds office, with links to their official profiles and the 2024 election results.

We list who's in office and link to their official profiles and the election results; we don't characterise anyone's politics. Party labels are those each councillor was elected under at the September 2024 election (NSW Electoral Commission); 'Our Local Community' is a registered group, not a political party. Ahmed Ouf (South Granville Ward) was elected with no party grouping recorded by the NSWEC, so no affiliation is shown for him. A council's makeup can change between elections through casual vacancies, so the council's official page has the most current list.
