Waste & recycling

When your bins go out, and how Coolamon Shire handles recycling and waste across Coolamon, Ganmain, Ardlethan, Marrar, Matong and Beckom. Every town and village in the scavenging areas gets a weekly general-waste collection and a fortnightly recycling collection. A green organics bin is a newer addition and currently runs in Coolamon and Ganmain only, fortnightly — the council has said it intends to extend the scheme shire-wide in future. There is no address lookup tool: collection days come from the annual Waste Collection Calendar on the council's waste page. Hard waste is a single booked collection once a year rather than a year-round service.
