Area profile
A quick snapshot of Coolamon Shire, drawn from official ABS estimates and the NSW Government's council data. Coolamon sits in the Riverina between Wagga Wagga and Temora — the shire's own Community Strategic Plan describes it as one of the richest agricultural and pastoral districts in the region. The Newell Highway, Burley Griffin Way and Canola Way cross the shire, and the Junee–Griffith and Temora–Griffith rail lines run east–west through it.
