Cobar Shire Council
Report a problem

Report a problem to the council

Cobar Shire does not run a general-purpose online reporting form: the way to report a problem in business hours is to phone or email the council's administration centre at 36 Linsley Street. Out of hours the council publishes a separate mobile number for each kind of emergency — roads (its roads line covers state highways as well), water and sewer, Cobar town, and the airport. Below is who to call for what, plus an independent app that works for any council.

How to report it

One app for any council
Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council or authority. Not run by the council.
Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights → the electricity distributorStreet lighting is generally the distributor's asset rather than the council's. Essential Energy is the electricity distributor across regional and far-western NSW and takes streetlight fault reports; the council's own website does not publish a street-light contact, so confirm with the council if you are unsure.

For urgent safety hazards call rather than emailing, and use the after-hours number that matches the problem. In a life-threatening emergency call triple zero (000). Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council).
