Central Goldfields has 7 wards, each electing one councillor. The current council was elected in October 2024 for the 2024–2028 term. Voters don't elect the Mayor directly: the councillors choose one of themselves. In November 2025 they set the Mayor's and Deputy Mayor's terms at one year.

Victorian council ballot papers and results don't show party affiliation, so we don't label councillors. We list who holds office, with the council email address it publishes for each councillor, and link to the election results. The VEC lists three councillors under slightly different names: Gerard Michael Murphy, Jacob Meyer and Anna De Villiers. The council points residents to the VEC website to find their ward. With one councillor per ward, a vacancy is filled by a by-election run by the VEC. For the latest list, see the council's page or the VEC.
