The council's stated direction
Camden's direction is set out in its Community Strategic Plan 2025–2040, a Delivery Program 2025/26–2028/29 and an Operational Plan & Budget 2026/27 (adopted June 2026, around $651M), shaped by managing some of the fastest population growth in NSW.
The council delivers roads, waste, libraries, recreation, planning and community services across rapidly-developing suburbs. Its Delivery Program is the elected council's statement of commitment for its term.
The 2026/27 Operational Plan & Budget totals around $651M, with the council advocating for State funding of major roads and rail to match local growth.
