Waste & recycling
When your bins go out, and how Berrigan Shire handles recycling and waste across Berrigan, Finley, Tocumwal and Barooga. Council runs a three-bin kerbside service: a 240L green-lidded organics bin (food and garden waste) collected weekly, and 240L red-lidded general waste and yellow-lidded recycling bins collected fortnightly. The three-bin system was procured jointly with the other Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO) councils under a 10-year contract, with community information sessions run at the Tocumwal, Finley, Berrigan and Barooga libraries in June 2024. To find your exact collection day, use the council's address lookup below — or download the printable calendar for your town.
