- Much day-to-day life crosses the MurrayBarooga is a NSW town that shares the postcode 3644 with Cobram in Victoria — most of its commercial and industrial needs are met across the river in Cobram — and Council's own phone number uses the Victorian (03) area code. Council has publicly told a NSW parliamentary inquiry that many residents rely on services located in Victoria and has asked the state to make greater use of the Office of the Cross-Border Commissioner.
- Tocumwal Aerodrome
- Owned and operated by Berrigan Shire CouncilTwo sealed runways (09/27 and 18/36, 1,200 m and 1,273 m), ALA code YTOC, with pilot-activated lighting on 09/27. A WWII US and then RAAF base (known as McIntyre Field) until operations closed in October 1960; it is now home to the Tocumwal Aviation Museum and a residential airpark.
