Report a problem to the council

The quickest way to get something fixed — a pothole, dumped rubbish, a missed bin — is to lodge it through the council's official channel. Below is where to report each type of issue, plus an independent app that works for any council.

Report to the council (official)
Customer service: (02) 6499 2222Or use the online request/contact forms on the council website; email council@begavalley.nsw.gov.au. The number is answered 24/7 for emergencies.

One app for any council
Snap Send SolveAn independent app that routes your report to the responsible council. Not run by the council.
Not always the council's job
Faulty street lights → Essential EnergyOn the Far South Coast the electricity distributor is Essential Energy; the council maintains the pole, the distributor fixes the light itself.

For urgent safety hazards, call rather than filling in a form. Snap Send Solve is an independent third-party app (not run by the council) that routes your report to the responsible authority.
